9acbaef7dd RESOLVED - BATCH-844: Lacking of DAO's property setting in JobRepositoryFactoryBean 
Pulled up the default value for exitMessageLength to AbstractJdbcBatchMetadataDao. Factory bean declares just one setter and applies the value to both job and step execution daos.

TaskletStep now checks the ExecutionContext dirty flag before calling update, to make sure it hasn't been modified before then.

Job, Step, and JobLauncher will not throw an exception if the job fails during processing, but rather will return the execution with an appropriate status and list of exceptions encountered.

JobRepositoryFactoryBean now detects the database type by the meta data.  There is also now an enum representing the DatabaseType.

34c2fce32f RESOLVED - issue BATCH-814: JobRepository should not require Step or Job (only their names) 
Moved the check for restartability up into JobLauncher.  There is a corner case where a non-restartable job could be restarted (see comment in SimpleJobLancher), but it should have a pretty small impact.
