URL Cleanup (#36)
This commit updates URLs to prefer the https protocol. Redirects are not followed to avoid accidentally expanding intentionally shortened URLs (i.e. if using a URL shortener).

Remove netflix dependencies
There's no need to depend on netflix libraries but the sample was
using Ribbon, so we took that out so that the release can be
independent.
