We now return a default value for invocations of methods returning a primitive value to pass the AOP infrastructure's check for compatible values. Before, that barked at the null value returned for the invocation.
Fixes#2612.
Removed the removal of the general collection-to-object converter as apparently some downstream Spring Data modules rely on it. This theoretically allows conversions of collections into maps but we now simply don't assume that not to work anymore.
Issue #2619.
Custom collection support is now centralized in ….util.CustomCollections. It exposes API to detect whether a type is a map or collection, identifies the map base type etc.
Support for different collection implementations is externalized via the CustomCollectionRegistrar SPI that allows to define implementations via spring.factories. The current support for Vavr collections has been moved into an implementation of that, VavrCollections.
Unit tests for custom collection handling and conversion previously living in QueryExecutionConverterUnitTests have been moved into CustomCollectionsUnitTests.
Fixes#2619.
Avoid leaking internals from TypeInformation by exposing a ….toTypeDescriptor() method in TypeInformation directly. This causes the ResolvableType handling to become an implementation detail within ClassTypeInformation and avoid client code to manually deal with both ResolvableType and TypeDescriptor creation.
Changed MethodLookups back to use the resolved domain types as the advanced generics resolutions seems not to be needed here and we can avoid
Fixes#2518.
Moved Vavr collection converters into a type in the utility package. Register the converters via CustomConversions.registerConvertersIn(…) to make sure that all the Spring Data object mapping converters automatically benefit from a ConversionService that is capable of translating between Java-native collections and Vavr ones.
Issue #2511.
Use var instead of explicit local types where applicable. Use pattern variable instead instanceof and cast. Prefer loops and nullable types over Stream and Optional. Convert classes to records where applicable.

A few further tweaks: ClassTypeInformation now never unwraps the user type to consistently work with the type originally presented in the lookup. That allows us to get rid of the custom equals(…)/hashCode() methods and removes the need to deal with original and user type in the same CTI instance.
The augmented caching of PersistentEntities in AbstractMappingContext now primarily happens in doAddPersistentEntity(…). We still need to implement a cache manipulation for the case that a user type has caused the creation of a PersistentEntity first and we see a lookup for the proxy type later. Before actually processing the TypeInformation we now try to lookup an already existing PersistentEntity for the user type and augment the cache if one was found.

Remove isProxyTypeInformation from TypeInformation. Use computeIfAbsent to fall back to user type information when attempting to add a entity to the MappingContext.
See #2485
Original pull request: #2486.
This commit makes sure to only create a PersistentEntity for an actual user type. Therefore ClassTypeInformation now considers the given type and not only the user one for both equals and hashcode. This makes sure we can distinguish TypeInformation for a proxy from the one of a user class.
The AbstractMapping context will take care of unpacking proxied types and registering the created entity for both the user as well as the proxy type information.
Prior to this commit build time generated proxy instances would have been able to pollute the context depending on the order they had been served by the initial entity set.

When an infinite Stream was handed into StreamUtils.zip(…) as first argument, the resulting stream was infinite, too, while inverting the argument order was limiting the resulting stream to the length of the finite one. This is now fixed by actually evaluating whether we can advance on both of the streams and shortcutting the process if that is not possible on either of the streams, limiting the processing of the overall Stream to the shorter of the two as already advertised in the Javadoc.

Reduce TypeDiscoverer.isNullableWrapper method visibility to private to avoid exposure in preparation for wider value type support.

Previously, we tried to invoke the copy(…) method on all Kotlin classes whereas the copy(…) method is only specific to Kotlin data classes.

We no recognize properties of type org.jmolecules.ddd.types.Association as associations in our PersistentProperty model.
Also, we now register JMolecules Converter implementations for Association and Identifier in CustomConversions so that they can persisted like their embedded primitive value out of the box.

This commit fixes an issue where we fail to detect all type arguments from a given constructor. calling getGenericParameterTypes in some cases does not include all Types, we now explicitly iterate over the parameters and extract the parameterized type that is used for creating the TypeInformation.
Closes: #2313
Original pull request: #2314.
We now report the first generic parameter for collection-like types to use the behavior that was previously in place. We will address the issues resulting of the intent to report the correct component type of Iterable in a later change.
Instead of using the first generic type parameter of a parameterized type as Map component type, we now explicitly lookup the super type's Map-specific generics configuration and use its first generic type parameter. The same for collection like types falling back to the parameter type bound to Iterable.
Reviewed visibility modifiers manually introduced constructors previously provided by Lombok. Also some nullability constraints have been accidentally changed by that.
Nullable wrappers such as Java 8 Optional, Guava Optional, Scala Option and Vavr Option are now handled in NullableWrapperConverters and are no longer coupled to QueryExecutionConverters so that this functionality can be reused.
Original Pull Request: #459
CloseableIterator now allows construction of a Stream that is associated with a close hook to release resources after its use.
CloseableIterator<Person> iterator = …;
try (Stream<Person> stream = iterator.stream()) {
assertThat(stream.count()).isEqualTo(3);
}
Use KotlinDetector instead of ReflectionUtils.isKotlinClass(…). Use replacement MethodParameter(…).withContainingClass(…) instead of GenericTypeResolver.resolveParameterType(…). Use MergedAnnotations.from(…).isPresent(…) instead of AnnotationUtils.isAnnotationMetaPresent(…).
kotlin.Unit is now considered a simple type to avoid PersistentEntity creation.
ReflectionUtils.isVoid(…) now encapsulates the check so that calling code doesn't need to check if Kotlin is on the class path.
findRequiredMethod(…) now prefers regular methods over synthetic/bridge methods. This refinement is required for newer Java versions that create synthetic bridge methods using the interface's return type. For SpEL extension introspection we're looking for the most specific return type that may be declared in the extension.

Rename static final `CACHE` members to use the lowercase form. Although
the caches are static final, they are not constant values.

Add findAllById, deleteAll to CoroutineCrudRepository.
Keep CoroutineCrudRepository somewhat in sync with ReactiveCrudRepository by adding based methods for those accecpting Publisher.
Also add some test.
Update License Headers of Kotlin files and fix some warnings. Switch to kotlin-test-junit5.

Added ClassUtils.ifPresent(…) to conditionally call back a Consumer<Class> if a class is available from the given ClassLoader. Extract isSuspend(…) method into KotlinReflectionUtils. Deprecate Kotlin-related methods in our ReflectionUtils as parts are available from Spring Framework directly.
Rename CoCrudRepository to CoroutineCrudRepository and CoroutineSortingRepository. Add tests for KotlinReflectionUtils to test calls without Kotlin dependencies.
